Do you have the spark to improve IEEE?
As part of the IEEE Region 5 meeting, we are inviting Section, Student, Chapters and Affinity Group volunteers and leaders to pitch us new ideas!
- Do you have a program that has worked great and you want to take it
to the next level? - Do you have a completely new idea?
If YES - SparkTank is for you! Winners will be eligible for $500-$750 program grants
First- prepare a 5 minute pitch presentation! The top 5 will be invited to present LIVE at our Region 5 Congress in Wichita on March 29th.

Selected in-person presenters will pitch in front of a judging panel including the IEEE President, IEEE Treasurer, IEEE-USA President and IEEE Past President!
Entrants will be highly encouraged to continue pursuing their idea in cooperation with Region 5 through IEEE New Initiatives Funding which can range from $20k to $100k or more.
Only IEEE volunteer members in Region 5 are eligible to enter. Members of the Region 5 Executive Committee (voting members) are ineligible from participating.
Entries must be submitted as power point or PDF by the indicated deadline for the first round.
Entrants must present in-person at the Region 5 meeting. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs if not otherwise covered by their Region or Section, etc.
Judging will be performed by the Region 5 Professional Activities Chair (PACE) and winners will be required to follow reimbursement guidelines for PACE projects, available here: program grants
