Description

IEEE Echelon is a high-impact leadership micro-retreat designed to address one of IEEE’s most pressing challenges: retaining student members as they transition into Young Professionals. This exclusive experience will bring together 10 rising student leaders and 10 accomplished IEEE professionals for a one-day, corporate-style leadership retreat.

Hosted alongside the IEEE Region 5 meeting, Echelon will feature immersive team-building challenges, leadership workshops, and mentor-led fireside chats in a focused setting that encourages deep connection and personal growth. The goal is to build lasting relationships that inspire continued engagement and leadership within IEEE.

With just the seed funding, IEEE Echelon will pilot a scalable model that can grow from Section-level events to a regional initiative and eventually become a global leadership development platform supported by IEEE New Initiatives. IEEE Echelon will elevate how we grow, connect, and retain the next tier of IEEE leadership—starting with just 20 hand-picked individuals ready to make an impact.
